Is Golf Nonsense? (2012.12.31)

In March, 2012, I began to play golf. To tell the truth, I used to think that I wouldn't play golf in my lifetime. But for some business reason, I RELUCTANTLY began it.

Do I enjoy playing golf now? --- The answer to that question is No and Yes.

Frankly, I don't really understand the meaning of golf itself. To begin with, why do we have to hit a ball to put it in a small cup? And why are there annoying ponds and bunkers in the way? It is completely NONSENSE to me. My favorite part of golf is bathing time after the play. I am not sure if I can call it a part of playing golf, but anyway, the bathing time is so good.

Although I felt golf itself was nonsense, I enjoyed playing it to some extent. That is because I was able to mingle with my friends and co-workers for a long time and got to know their personalities very well. We don't have such opportunities in other leisure activities.
Moreover, it was exciting to realize that I could improve my swing dramatically when I practiced in golf lessons. It was surprising that just adjusting my swing form a little resulted in a big hit.

Even though ten months have passed since I began golf, and I have played at courses seven times, I am still poor at playing golf. Even when I was in good condition, the score was 143. Probably I don't get any better because my motivation to get better is pretty low.

Do I continue playing golf next year? --- God only knows.
